Hotel and Catering industry has lot of potential of energy saving, therefore, it has been decided to target this sector and bring awareness about energy saving potential in India. A beginning has already been made and some studies in this sector have also been carried out. Since the users views and feedback from the actual specialists working in this sector would be very important to identify the potential of energy saving and barriers. This will help in setting up right direction towards the objectives of proposed energy campaign.
Therefore, we are inviting Indian Hotel Industry specialists to submit their technical papers on the three topics (as per open call document) separately. Each topic has separate prize. The selected best paper writers will be invited to present their paper in the proposed conference / workshop proposed to be conducted on on 28-29 May 2009 at New Delhi. Selected personnel for each of the topics will be awarded INR 25,000, where up to INR 7,500 of this will be for travel costs* to the conference and another INR 7,500 for the accommodation**. The remaining INR 10,000 shall be for the incentive of presenting your paper in the conference and producing a post workshop report.
The “possible content” is of our suggestion and we would very welcome further relevant content and suggestions that you wish to conduct within the respective topics. Each workshop session has a period of 45 minutes. Your role in the workshop would be to have a presentation on the respective topic, and then opening the floor to participants to further contribute and comment on the topic. By gathering all the inputs from the participants, a post-workshop report on your respective topic would be produced.
